We were called to this property in Leicester when the owner noticed Pigeons were nesting under their solar panels.
All bird nests were quickly removed from under the solar panels. The next task was to thoroughly clean all bird mess from the solar panels and surrounding roof tiles. We also cleared out the gutters. Finally we fitted solar panel mesh around the outside to prevent and pigeons getting back under. This galvanised wire mesh is simply clipped the the underside or the panels creating zero damage to either the roof tiles or solar panels.
The weather was on our side and the proofing job was completed quickly with very little disruption to the owner. We love this type of work, especially when the sun is shining.

Pigeon and bird faeces are acidic and can cause corrosion damage to the solar panel surface, as well as wires and connections. Additionally, many types of birds love to scratch and can use their beaks to gnaw through wires and other components.
