Every site is different, from the pests that we have to control to the make up of buildings, the environment, the public, staff, yourself and layout of the site. A tailored service contract to each site is needed and is something that takes a lot of thought and planning.

We have to consider the following:

• Do you need pest control? Can your issue be solved without the use of pesticides through proofing/repairs/good housekeeping/prevention methods.
• If the use of pesticides is needed then what products could and should be used
• Environmental Risks
• COSHH Assessments
• Risk Assessments
• Site survey and a survey of the surrounding area to see if other properties are causing you to have pest problems

All of this and more has to be looked at to give you the protection you need for your business or home. When dealing with rodents we have to follow the guidelines set out to us by CRRU on the use of rodenticides and we are proud to support and follow these guidelines. The use of rodenticide can and will be used if it is necessary and within the law to do so. A non toxic monitoring bait can then be used to give us an indication of rodent activity on site and then we can decide on the best way to deal with the infestation.

The days of companies permanent baiting on all sites are gone but under some circumstances and only when justified this can be done.

When dealing with Insects the your site can be set up with insect monitors, these will monitor what insects you have on site. These could be stored product insects, casual invading insects or moths, beetles that feed on the fabric of your buildings. Not forgetting your public health pests like cockroaches and flies.

These can all be dealt with with the use of insecticides, cleaning, proofing and repairs.

We also offer EFK (electronic fly killer) and FCU (fly control unit) contracts. These can be added on to your rodent or insect contract and are beneficial to any food production, preparation or serving areas.
